About Ewan (The Story):
My obsession with fire began with a single glowing ember and a curiosity for how heat transforms the simple into the extraordinary. I was born in South Africa, where the ritual of the braai is woven into the fabric of life. Since then, I have traveled Southern Africa extensively in 4x4s, uncovering hidden gems from the bushveld to the coast.
In addition to my roots, I’ve spent years exploring Asia, the Mediterranean, the Americas, Oceania, and Europe to bring authentic, smoky secrets back to you. Whether it is a traditional South African braai or searing fresh seafood on a Welsh beach, the flame is my universal language. Furthermore, I believe that outdoor cooking is more than a meal—it is a ritual that connects us to our roots and to each other.
